Axel Bauer a Lawyer/Barrister/Attorney at Law in Vienna, Austria is now heading the European Bodybuilding and Physique Sports Federation (EBPF) as its President. The continental federation was officially registered with the Ministry of Interior and affiliated to the World Bodybuilding and Physique Sports Federation (WBPF).
Since 1986 Axel is a member of the Board of the Austrian Amateur Bodybuilding Federation now re-named as the Austrian Bodybuilding & Physique Sports Federation (ABPF). He is the current President of ABPF.
Axel's hard work in getting European countries to join the WBPF is increasing and presently the following countries are members of the WBPF and EBPF:

- GERMANY
- HUNGARY
- ITALY
- MALTA
- NETHERLANDS
- POLAND
- SLOVAKIA
- UKRAINE
The inaugural EBPF European Bodybuilding Championships will take place either in Vienna or Budapest on 22nd May 2010.
